Lets make a drink
While we are fans of the staples like beer (I’m an IPA fan myself), a cold crisp white, rose (all day), or even a glass of bubbly, some occasions call for something with a little more panache. While we are the furthest thing from a mixologist, we have turned to Chat GPT a couple of times to help come up with something new.
Here is the recipe for what we are calling the Tropical Balsamic Breeze
The Process
Ingredients:
1 oz Diplomatico Rum (for its complex, sweet profile)
1/2 oz Peach Liquor (to enhance the fruitiness)
1/4 oz raspberry balsamic vinegar (for a surprising tang and depth)
1 oz mango bubbly water (for a tropical effervescence)
1 oz orange juice (for sweetness and acidity)
1/2 oz cream of coconut (for a creamy, tropical texture)
A splash of lime juice (for a bright acidity)
Ice cubes
Sliced strawberries and a lime wheel for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Glass:
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to keep it chilled.
Combine Ingredients:
In a shaker, mix the Diplomatico Rum, Peach Liquor, raspberry balsamic vinegar, orange juice, cream of coconut, and a splash of lime juice.
Add a generous amount of ice, secure the shaker, and shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
Assemble the Drink:
Strain the shaken mixture into the ice-filled glass.
Gently top it off with mango bubbly water, adding a layer of tropical fizz.
Garnish:
Garnish with sliced strawberries and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass for a visually appealing and flavourful finish.
Serve:
Stir lightly before serving to mix the bubbly water with the rest of the cocktail.
Enjoy
This "Tropical Balsamic Breeze" brings together the warmth of rum, the exotic flavour of peach and mango, with a unique twist from the raspberry balsamic vinegar, creating a drink that's both refreshing and intriguing. The cream of coconut adds a luxurious texture, making it a perfect celebratory drink for any event.
